Prescription assistance is available for homeless people only to get them started on medication. This is not a drop in program but part of our outreach program. Bethesda Cares works with medical providers to get their patients and our clients on needed medication. The social worker then helps the clients fill out pharmacy assistance paperwork to enroll those in the state wide program that will make future medications affordable. No assistance is provided for narcotic or controlled substances.
